Here are the water restrictions currently in effect in Colorado

DENVER — Municipalities across Colorado are enacting water restrictions due to one of the warmest and driest winters on record, negatively impacting the snowpack and amount of water that is expected to be available this year.

From Denver to Aurora to Boulder to Thornton and Arvada, cities are either implementing or considering water restrictions this spring. The reason each municipality moves at a different pace comes down to a patchwork of reservoirs, water rights and supply contracts that make drought a uniquely local problem to solve in different ways, even when it’s a regional one.

Below is a list of all the water restrictions that have been enacted in Colorado:

Denver

The Denver Board of Water Commissioners declared a Stage 1 drought as its water collection areas face severe drought conditions and historically low snowpack.
