Denver shelter ‘overflowing’ with cats after animal hoarding investigation

DENVER — Denver Animal Shelter will reduce adoption fees on adult cats as the shelter has been inundated with felines.

The shelter said it is “overflowing” with cats in need of homes following a large-scale animal hoarding investigation by Denver Animal Protection last week.

To help find families for the influx of cats, Denver Animal Shelter said adoption fees for all cats one year of age and older are reduced to $45 through the end of May…
