BROOMFIELD — Former Fairview swim standout Soren Koschmann was following along from Cornell University as his younger brother Anders attempted to break one of his high school records Saturday morning.

“He was coping a bit,” Anders said of his brother’s reaction, smirking after he broke Soren’s pool and meet record in the 50-yard backstroke (23.72 seconds) at the Boulder County Invitational at Broomfield Community Center Pool. “He’s talking about how it wasn’t a great record, but I just think he’s a little heartbroken I beat it.”…
