Louisville will walk away from a $13.25 million price tag after the City Council voted to terminate a purchase agreement for 101 S. Taylor Ave., a 56,000-square-foot building and 8-acre property in the Colorado Tech Center.
“We live in some very concerning times. When we look at the cost of construction, repairs, maintenance for things, inflation continuing to be brutal for all of us — and that will include the city — I just don’t see a smart fiscal way forward with this particular project,” Councilmember Judi Kern said prior to the April 21 vote.
The council had voted in early March to enter into an agreement for the property, making a deposit of $150,000, under the condition that the city could terminate the contract without forfeiting the money within a 90-day window…
