DENVER — A spring snowstorm combined with an early bloom could create dangerous conditions for homeowners across the Denver metro area, according to a Wheat Ridge tree service owner preparing for potential damage.
Mark Starcevic, co-owner of Limb Walkers, said his crews are already seeing warning signs as trees leaf out earlier than usual and face the added weight of heavy, wet snow and freezing temperatures.
“We didn’t have a real winter so everything kind of grew out a lot faster than normal,” Starcevic said. “So what we’re seeing is when we get those leaves on there, they create, like, this huge mitt for snow.”…
