Snow totals in Colorado: Over a foot already in the mountains as spring storm hits Denver

DENVER (KDVR) — A May snowstorm spanning two days in Colorado has already left totals of more than a foot at high elevations, as snow starts piling up in the Denver area.

Snow was falling Tuesday morning in places like Estes Park, Boulder and Fort Collins, while Denver was seeing rain. By late afternoon, the Denver area was switching to snow.

In Rocky Mountain National Park, two locations recorded 20.4 in. by 2 p.m., while Estes Park was at 15 in. by 3 p.m.
