RTD deploys 5-officer ‘hot spot’ teams, ramps up fare enforcement

DENVER (KDVR) — The Regional Transportation District is rolling out a new enforcement strategy across its transit system, deploying small teams of about 5 officers into areas identified as safety “hot spots.”

RTD officials said the effort is part of a broader push to increase visibility, address recurring issues and improve riders’ sense of safety on buses and trains.
