Aurora police, including the department’s SWAT unit, are currently engaging in a standoff with possible armed subjects.
Aurora police first notified the public of the incident at about 1:45 p.m. Thursday. The standoff is at a motel at the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Chambers Road.
Police said at least three subjects, possibly armed, were barricaded inside the motel. At about 2:20 p.m., police said two of the suspects were detained, but at least one person remained inside the motel.
