A total of four juveniles have been arrested in Aurora, Colorado, after they allegedly took part in an armed carjacking. Reportedly, all suspects were eventually taken into custody after a motel standoff, which had a SWAT Team involved.
As reported by Sentinel Colorado, the alleged carjacking took place on Wednesday, March 12. Aurora Police Deputy Chief Michael Gaskill detailed that a man had reported his car stolen. According to him, four armed individuals assaulted him before taking his car. He narrowly avoided any injuries, as the suspects were accused of opening fire at him, missing him completely. Aurora police added that two of the suspects left in the victim’s car, while two others left in a gray Audi.
The very next day, Aurora Police Department (APD) officers spotted the gray Audi at Wolf’s Motor Inn, a motel located on E. Colfax Avenue. While officers surveyed the vehicle, two of the juvenile suspects approached the car. Quickly noticing the police presence, both individuals decided to run, to no avail.
