Austin physical therapist sentenced for indecent assault

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man was sentenced on April 7 in connection with an indecent assault case that involved his patients, according to court documents from Travis County.

The documents said that 50-year-old Manuel Rangel pleaded guilty and was sentenced to two years of community supervision.

As part of his plea deal, Rangel will also forfeit his physical therapy license, cannot practice physical therapy while on probation, must stay away from witnesses and must take a sex offender assessment, according to the Travis County document.
