H-E-B’s fast-growing grocery rival plants $4.8M store in buzzy Austin suburb

New grocer options are blooming in a buzzy Central Texas city, as Sprouts Farmers Market unveils plans for a new, nearly $5 million storefront near Texas’ capital city.

The Arizona-founded organic groceries and specialty products chain Sprouts registered plans for its inaugural grocery store in the Austin suburb of Hutto, according to project filings registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) on May 29. The estimated $4.8 million storefront is poised to kick off construction work in mid-September 2026 ahead of a tentative construction completion date in early February 2028. TDLR filings are estimates, and both cost and timeline figures are subject to change without notice.
