Woman given deferred adjudication in connection with fatal 2022 shooting

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A woman was given deferred adjudication in October related to a fatal 2022 shooting.

In Texas, deferred adjudication is a type of probation that allows the person sentenced to keep the conviction off their criminal record.

According to Travis County court documents, 21-year-old Autumn Nicole Scarver pleaded guilty to first-degree felony aggravated robbery and was given 10 years deferred adjudication.

The charge was in connection with the death of 18-year-old Andrew Clayton, where Scarver was one of four people arrested and charged.

In addition to being on probation, Scarver must pay a $500 fine and complete 200 community service hours. She also cannot possess any firearms or weapons and must not have any contact with co-defendants in the case or anyone else involved in the offense…
