Man sentenced to 10 years for drug charges in Travis County

AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man in Travis County was sentenced after pleading guilty to drug charges that stemmed from a July 2023 offense.

According to Travis County court documents, 27-year-old Anthony Moris pleaded guilty in April 2025 to third-degree possession of a controlled substance in Penalty Group 1, with a quantity of at least 1 gram but less than 4 grams.

Documents showed Moris was sentenced to serve 10 years in state prison. Toward the sentence, Moris received a jail time credit of 562 days.
