However, I wanted to revisit a post I wrote after the news broke that Torres would be heading to Texas. The article was about Torres’s transfer to Texas, sending a clear message to Florida State. Some people took that as Florida State wasn’t willing to pay her what Texas was, and while that may have been true. The real message was that Torres didn’t believe she could realistically win a national title at Florida State.
