AUSTIN (KXAN) — We’re one week away from America’s 250th birthday celebration across the United States of America.
Central Texans are gearing up for celebrations by hosting a variety of events. KXAN has compiled a list of those events for your convenience:
Travis County
- Star Spangled Fest – H-E-B is set to host the Star Spangled Fest at Auditorium Shores at 4 p.m. The Austin Symphony Orchestra is set to perform, followed by a fireworks show.
- The Morning Spin – For those looking to kick off their 4th of July earlier, The Mushroom Cowboy and The Concourse Project are set to host an event at Audiroum Shores from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will include house music, coffee, cold drinks and local food trucks.
- Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic – The picnic will be hosted at the Germania Insurance Amphitheatre. The lineup includes: Willie Nelson & Family, Sheryl Crow, Billy Strings and more.
- 4th of July Speakeasy Celebration – The Four Seasons Hotel Austin is set to host a pop-up speakeasy celebration, starting at 7 p.m. A live DJ and outdoor balcony seating will be available to watch the fireworks show.
- Hill Country Galleria Independence Day Festival – The Hill Country Galleria is set to host its annual 4th of July festival. The free event starts at 4 p.m. and will have over 40 vendors lining up the street; live music performances are also set to occur.
- Hot Dog Eating Contest – Hotel Vegas is set to host its 5th annual hot dog eating contest from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. The free event is only for those 21 and up.
- 4th of July 90s Tribute Fest – Hole in the Wall is set to host a 4th of July event for alternative rock fans. The event starts at 3 p.m. and is for those 21 and up. The festival will have tribute performances for The Cure, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Green Day and more.
- American Idiot Anti 4th of July Drag Show – Austin Drag Performer Brigitte Bandit is set to host a full album tribute to Green Day’s 2004 album American Idiot. The event is 21 and up, and will be held at Elysium nightclub with doors opening at 9:30 p.m.
- Lakeway’s 4th of July Celebration – Lakeway is set to host its 4th of July celebrations with a parade on Lakeway Drive starting at 8:30 a.m., followed by a hot dog reception at 10 a.m.
- City of West Lake Hills July 4th Parade & Celebration – West Lake Hills is set to host its 4th of July celebration starting at 8:30 a.m. with a parade at 101 Westlake Drive. There will be games and activities hosted by local businesses, as well as costume contests.
Williamson County
- Round Rock’s July 4th Parade and Frontier Days – 4th of July festivities will kick off in Round Rock bright and early with a parade set to begin at 8:30 a.m. on Mays Street. After, Frontier Days will kick off at Old Settlers Park beginning at 12:00 p.m. with fireworks set to begin after dark.
- Georgetown’s 4th of July Celebration – Georgetown is set to kick off an all-day celebration for the 4th of July at San Gabriel Park. Live music is set to begin at 11 a.m., and the fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m. Festivities will also include food vendors, amusement rides and a kiddie parade.
- Cedar Sparktacular – The City of Cedar Park is set to host its Independence Day celebration at Milburn Park from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Activities will include live music, carnival rides and food trucks.
- Leander’s Liberty Fest – For those looking to celebrate a day earlier, the City of Leander is hosting its 4th of July event on July 3, starting at 6 p.m. at Devine Lake Park. The annual event will include live music, food, children’s activities and a firework show.
- Dale Watson’s 250th American Legion 4th of July Picnic – The City of Taylor has partnered with the American Legion Graham D. Luhn Post 39 for its annual 4th of July celebration at Murphy Park. Festivities will kick off at 9 a.m. with a parade and fireworks will start firing off at 9:45 p.m.
- American Rhapsody: Hutto 4th of July – The City of Hutto will host a 4th of July celebration at Adam Orgain Park and the Brushy Creek Amphitheater from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. According to the city, there will be food trucks, community vendors, kids’ activities, and a fireworks show.
- Independence Day Spectacular – Liberty Hill is set to host a 4th of July celebration on July 3 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Liberty Hill Middle School. The event will include a homemade apple pie contest, watermelon seed spitting contest, and more.
Hays County
- Kyle’s Independence Day Firework Show – The City of Kyle will host a fireworks show at Lake Kyle Park beginning at 9 p.m. The city noted that this year’s celebration will just be a fireworks show and not a full-scale celebration, unlike past years.
- Red, White & Buda – The city of Buda is set to host its annual 4th of July celebration at the Buda Amphitheatre starting at 9 a.m. Festivities include a morning bike parade, food court, rock wall climbing, bounce houses and more. The fireworks show is set for 9:15 p.m.
- San Marcos’ Firework Show – San Marcos will celebrate the 4th of July with a fireworks show set for 9:30 p.m. Parking lots at the San Marcos Activity Center, San Marcos Public Library, City Park, and the UFCU Stadium will be open to view the show.
- Freedom Fest Dripping Springs – Freedom Fest 2026 in Dripping Springs is set for a noon opening at 4700 West Fitzhugh Road. The event will include fireworks, live music, food, a vendor market and more.
- Wimberley 4th of July Parade – Wimberley Valley Chamber of Commerce is set to host a 4th of July parade on July 3 from 10 a.m. to noon. The parade will start at Ranch Road 12 and end near Wimberley City Hall.
