Austin’s Star Spangled Fest wraps up with fireworks, symphony performance

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin’s 4th of July celebration came to a close Saturday night after hours of festivities at Auditorium Shores.

The Star Spangled Fest began at 10 a.m. with a house music concert, part of a new lineup of daytime activities organizers added this year. The event picked up in the late afternoon at 4:30 p.m., when vendors and shops opened to the public. The night concluded with a performance by the Austin Symphony Orchestra followed by a fireworks display.
