1991 Austin Yogurt Shop murders were solved in 2025 after DNA from a 13-year-old victim was matched

In 1991, on a December night, four adolescent girls were closing an I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt! Shop in Austin, Texas, where they were brutally attacked and killed. Jennifer Harbison, 17, and Eliza Thomas, 17, worked in the store. Jennifer’s sister, Sarah Harbison, 15, and her friend Amy Ayers, 13, were waiting for a ride.

The girls were found inside the burnt-out business, shot, bound and gagged. For decades, the crime remained unresolved…
