As Texas’ Interstate 35 continues its seemingly endless bout of construction, Central Texans will need to brace for yet another round of closures along the highway this week.
The Texas Department of Transportation’s Austin District office announced varying overnight closures are slated along I-35 in South Austin this week, according to a social media post shared on Sunday, July 5. Those upcoming closures apply to both northbound and southbound I-35, TxDOT added, with the closure boundaries running from State Highway 71 and Ben White Boulevard down to William Cannon Drive.
The varying lane closures will kick off on Monday, July 6 and are expected to continue through to Thursday, July 9, TxDOT officials noted.
