AUSTIN (KXAN) — Travis County Emergency Services District 2 conducted an active attack training on Tuesday, an exercise centered on sharpening response and skills during a high-stress situation.
Several agencies such as the Travis County Sheriff’s Office and the Pflugerville Police Department also attended the training.
“The idea is that we do this joint training so that we all come together and we practice what would happen and what we need to do to work together effectively to reduce injury, killing or death should an attack like this happen,” ESD 2 Captain and Community Engagement Officer Trevor Stokes said.
