AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin firefighters responded to an apartment fire Tuesday at a complex in north Austin, evacuating residents as crews put out the fire.
The Austin Fire Department said crews were dispatched to 8028 Gessner Drive, where a fire was reported in Building 5 of the apartment complex.
AFD said it was a kitchen fire that was contained to the area where the fire started. The fire has been extinguished with five units affected. The apartment manager is working with the displaced occupants to relocate them, AFD said…
