A Chick-fil-A franchisee has denied it unlawfully fired an employee who sought to observe the Sabbath on Saturdays.
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) filed a lawsuit against the franchisee, Hatch Trick, Inc., in May, alleging it violated federal law by refusing to reasonably accommodate Laurel Torode’s request to observe the Sabbath on Saturdays, and instead fired her.
