Edouard Drifts South Toward Central Texas, Keeping Flood Threat Alive

Tropical Rainstorm Edouard continues to push south across Texas, bringing localized flood risks and heavy downpours into the weekend as moisture spreads toward Austin and San Antonio.

The storm originally made landfall on Tuesday in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, with maximum sustained winds of 60 mph. Since moving inland, it has dumped torrential rainfall across southeast Texas, including a measured 24.36 inches near Thicket. A wider area across eastern Texas has already recorded between 4 and 8 inches of rain.
