After two years, a Central Texas university alumna has returned to her roots on the region’s airwaves. Former North Texas reporter Brenna Gibbons announced she is now a multimedia journalist for CBS Austin (KEYE).
Gibbons recently said goodbye to her reporting role at KTXS News 12, an ABC Affiliate station in Abilene. In her final on-air message on August 26, Gibbons, who is originally from Prosper, thanked the Abilene community for welcoming her to the Big Country after graduating from college in 2024.
“When I first moved here, I didn’t know a single person, but this community quickly became home,” Gibbons wrote on her News with Brenna Facebook page. “I’m so thankful to everyone who welcomed me into their homes and trusted me to tell the stories that mattered most to them.”
