MAP: Where are Austin’s most dangerous intersections?

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Nine intersections in the city of Austin have had more than 100 traffic crashes since 2010, according to data collected by the Austin Transportation and Public Works Department and analyzed by KXAN.

Three of those intersections are about half a mile away from each other.

KXAN analyzed traffic crash data throughout the city dating back to 2010 to identify the most dangerous intersections, looking at intersecting roads to find where the most traffic accidents of all time happened. The department’s data included crashes through Aug. 28, 2026 at the time this story was published.

The intersection with the most crashes is located at East Riverside Drive and South Pleasant Valley Road, which has seen 244 total crashes since 2010…
