Potent opioid drug found in Texas prompts warning for UT students: ‘Take this seriously’

Two University of Texas-related social media accounts issued a warning Thursday about a drug going around called cychlorphine — a substance tied to a string of overdoses across the country, including in Texas.

Cychlorphine is a synthetic opioid from a category known as orphines. It is not a new drug and is being found across the U.S. in marijuana, cocaine and other drugs.
