AUSTIN (KXAN) — People gathered for another protest against Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Sunday in north Austin, one week after a man was shot and injured by an ICE officer.
Austin immigration attorney Kate Lincoln-Goldfinch, who represents the man, identified him as Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez, 28. Garcés Pérez, who is Venezuelan, had been working as a food delivery driver the day he was shot in north Austin.

The Party for Socialism & Liberation organized Sunday’s protest, writing on social media, “There is only one way we will get justice: if we rise up together and fight for it! We cannot wait: we must act now!”
