A flood watch has been issued for a large part of South and Central Texas, the National Weather Service said Tuesday morning. The watch will go into effect from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 7 p.m. Friday.
The Texas Hill Country, Edwards Plateau and much of the Interstate 35 corridor are included in the flood watch. Cities that are a part of the watch include San Antonio, New Braunfels, San Marcos, Austin, Kerrville, Fredericksburg, Llano, Marble Falls, Boerne, Hondo, Uvalde, Pearsall, Pleasanton, Eagle Pass and Del Rio.
“There is a potential for life-threatening flooding somewhere in the watch area,” the weather service said in the flood watch announcement. “Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.”…
