Millions of Texans are bracing for a soggy — and potentially dangerous — end to the week.
Flood Watches are in effect across a huge stretch of the state, from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex down through Austin and San Antonio to the Rio Grande, as a slow-moving cold front drags heavy rain across Texas on Thursday and Friday.
The National Weather Service office in Austin/San Antonio says rainfall totals of 1 to 4 inches are expected through Friday, with isolated amounts of up to 8 inches possible. “There is a potential for life threatening flooding somewhere in the watch area,” forecasters warned…
