McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Prosecutors charged a “local golfing legend” with running an illegal sports gambling business on Friday.
Ronald Lynn Kilby, 71, of Lakeway, Texas, managed an illegal sportsbook that collected more than $2.4 million from 2019 to 2026, according to federal prosecutors. People who lost money occasionally dropped off cash at Killer’s Golf, a sports bar in McAllen.
