The Texas Longhorns mascot Bevo is a fixture at UT home games at DKR. But does he make the 200 mile trip up north to Dallas for the Texas-OU game?
Bevo attends every Texas home game at Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium and the steer also goes to every bowl game, when he’s allowed. In the past, Bevo has been banned from attending the SEC Championship game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. In fact, he was also banned from the Peach Bowl college football playoff game there too.
But Bevo did make the trip to last year’s Cheez-It Citrus Bowl and he famously attacked Georgia’s mascot UGA at the Sugar Bowl in the Caesars Superdome. Bevo has been to numerous Cotton Bowls, both at Fair Park and at AT&T Cowboys Stadium, despite a demand from PETA that the mascot be banned from “Jerryworld” too.

Bevo does make the trip each year on the second Saturday in October where he is a fixture on the sidelines at the Red River Shootout. Bevo stands in the horseshoe on the UT side of the field. Bevo XV, the current mascot, has been to every Texas-OU game since he was made the mascot 10 years ago…
