Texas homeowner flexes her $1.5 million house to HBCU student during a parking dispute. Then protesters gathered outside her home

A parking feud in Austin, Texas, turned into a full-blown neighborhood spectacle after a homeowner tried to claim a public street curb for herself. The drama went down on East 9th Street right near Huston-Tillotson University, a historically Black college in East Austin.

A student named Bri Nunn started recording after accusing the homeowner and her husband of leaving passive-aggressive notes on students’ cars to force them off the block. When Nunn confronted the woman and asked if she knew street parking was completely legal, the argument turned ugly fast. The video went viral, and city officials eventually confirmed what everyone already knew; parking on that street is 100% legal for the public. The homeowner learned pretty quickly that drop-in property values don’t mean you own the public asphalt out front.
