Man in ‘state of paranoia’ fatally shoots stranger at South Austin motel, police say

A man who police said was in a “state of paranoia” has been charged with murder for fatally shooting a stranger at a south Austin motel early Thursday. Officers responded to a call just after midnight reporting a man with a gun at the Super 8 Motel off I-35 near the Ben White Blvd. intersection. When police arrived, they heard gunshots and found 41-year-old Rahsaan Dobbins, who was nude, had just shot 45-year-old Warnero Young.
