Researchers from the University of Texas at Austin have discovered a new molecule for treating neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain results from nerve injury in a variety of bodily tissues, including skin, muscle, and joints, and is notoriously difficult to treat. Patients with neuropathic pain frequently experience painful sensations such as electric shocks, tingling, or burning.
