AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man who was charged in two separate shootings in April 2022 was found guilty of capital murder of multiple persons on Monday.
Eric Rollins, 53, was arrested and charged in connection with two separate, deadly shootings in east Austin on April 28, 2022.
The first shooting happened near East 12th Street and Webberville Road, and the second happened shortly after in the 400 block of East Sixth Street, according to previous coverage.

A Travis County jury returned a guilty verdict on Feb. 12, 2024, according to District Attorney José Garza’s office.
He was sentenced on the same day to life without parole, to be served in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
“Our office is grateful to our dedicated staff and law enforcement partners who worked tirelessly to hold the defendant accountable and seek justice for the victim’s families,” Garza said. “We hope this verdict brings closure and peace to the families.”
