AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person was pronounced dead on the scene of a crash on U.S. Highway 290 near William Cannon Drive early Wednesday morning.
Austin Police arrested a man in connection with the crash on a charge of intoxication manslaughter, according to a search warrant.

APD said officers responded to the scene of an auto-pedestrian crash involving two vehicles. Austin-Travis County EMS said medics responded to the crash around 2:40 a.m.
Documents said 41-year-old Jacob Sussman was driving and hit a pedestrian before rear-ending another vehicle.
Attorney information wasn’t available for Sussman as of Wednesday morning. This story will be updated.
A witness was able to record the incident on the dash camera inside their vehicle, according to court documents.
Records showed law enforcement officials performed field sobriety tests on Sussman at the scene. A judge also signed a warrant to have his blood drawn for additional testing.
