Dog saved from southeast Austin fire

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin firefighters and medics helped save a dog from a house fire late Friday.

The fire was at a home on Village Lane in southeast Austin, according to the Austin Fire Department.

AFD said the dog was unresponsive when it was pulled from the fire but became responsive and awake after help from firefighters and Austin-Travis County EMS.

AFD said the fire was under control as of 10:17 p.m. Friday.

No one else was injured in the fire, according to AFD. The cause of the fire was not shared.
