Oklahoma trending for five-star OT Michael Fasusi

The Oklahoma Sooners appear to be emerging as the favorite to land five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi.

Fasusi is one of Texas’ priority targets for the 2025 cycle. The Lewisville (TX) product is ranked the No. 3 offensive tackle in the nation for the 2025 recruiting class and the No. 5 overall prospect in Texas, according to On3’s industry ranking.

The Longhorns were once viewed as the leader in Fasusi’s recruitment, but the Sooners have made up ground in recent weeks. On Sunday, On3’s Eric Nahlin entered a recruiting prediction in favor of Oklahoma to land Fasusi. That now puts the Sooners in the lead with a 52.0% chance of landing him per On3’s recruiting prediction machine .

The 6-foot-5, 295-pound offensive lineman is coveted by just about every major program in the country, including offers from Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Penn State, Oregon, Florida, and USC.

Fasusi took official visits to Texas, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, LSU, and Missouri this summer. He currently has a commitment date set for Wednesday, Aug. 21.
