Quinn Ewers Makes His Opinion of Arch Manning Extremely Clear

When Arch Manning committed to the Texas Longhorns, speculation intensified about when he would replace Quinn Ewers as the starting quarterback.

Manning hails from a family of football legends, with his grandfather Archie Manning, a renowned college quarterback, and his uncles Peyton and Eli Manning, both legendary NFL quarterbacks. Manning also held the top rank in the 2023 recruiting class.

The thought from most was that Manning would sit out one season, and this year would be his as the starting quarterback. However, Ewers decided to return for his final year, so Manning would once again serve as his backup.

In a sit-down interview with “College GameDay,” Ewers detailed his relationship with Manning. He said he couldn’t be happier to have Manning on the team and thinks he’s going to do great things for the university when his time comes.

“I couldn’t be more excited that he’s a part of our team,” Ewers said. “He’s a really good friend of mine. I think we’re going to be really good friends for a long time. He’s going to do great things for this university, but I’m still here, so.”
