Arch Manning Receives Underwhelming Grade From ESPN After First Career Start

Arch Manning started his first career after seeing extended time last week when starting quarterback Quinn Ewers got injured. Arch Manning, the grandson of legendary college quarterback Archie Manning and the nephew of legendary NFL quarterbacks Peyton and Eli Manning didn’t perform best in his first start.

A week ago, Manning had an incredible performance. He completed 9-of-12 passes for 223 yards and four touchdowns. In addition, he scored a 67-yard touchdown run against UTSA. However, this week, he performed differently against Louisiana Monroe. Manning completed just over 50% of his passes for 258 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also had one carry for -4 yards.

In just seven plays into the game, Manning threw his first interception. However, he led four straight touchdown drives before throwing his second interception just before halftime. In the third quarter, Manning led Texas to two touchdown drives and also punted twice.
