AUSTIN, Texas – It takes about 80 miles to get from Austin to San Antonio. Jim Hickey, a retired U.S. Marine, is getting there on foot. Hickey said it’s going to take 11 days to get to his destination if he keeps up his pace, but that this isn’t anything he hasn’t done before. Hickey’s walked more than 9,000 miles in the last 26 years for cancer research and awareness.
