Fans In Disbelief Over Texas’ Arch Manning Decision

The No. 1 Texas Longhorns hosted the No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs in Week 5, presenting one of the biggest games of the college football season.

While the Longhorns entered the matchup as a 5-point favorite , the Bulldogs had different plans. Georgia went into the game as an underdog for the first time since 2021.

After all the media and fan hype around the Longhorns, the Bulldogs stunned the college football world. They began the game with a 23-0 lead at halftime, forcing Texas into difficult decisions.

The Bulldogs were causing problems for Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers all night. Since Ewers has been deemed a pro-style quarterback, thriving in the pocket, it seemed the Longhorns were looking for a spark.

With a couple of minutes left in the first half, Texas plugged in backup quarterback Arch Manning. He was limited to just six pass attempts and six carries but certainly gave the Longhorns dual-threat ability.

Despite Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian throwing Manning into the fire at the end of the first half, which seemed to give Texas some life, UT went back to starting Ewers in the second half.
