AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person died overnight in a single-vehicle crash in east Austin.
Austin-Travis County EMS reported a “serious vehicle collision” in the 9300 block of East U.S. 290 around 3:10 a.m. That’s near the intersection of Johnny Morris Road.
One person was pronounced dead after paramedics tried to resuscitate them, according to ATCEMS.
The Austin Police Department said the eastbound exit ramp of US 290 to Johnny Morris Road was closed early Thursday while first responders were on scene.
According to the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority , the crash scene was cleared by 8:40 a.m.
