Austin, Texas is where all of our new state laws are debated, voted on, and eventually accepted into law or rejected usually via the desk of the governor’s office. Each year several new Texas laws go into effect at various points on the calendar, but January 1st seems to be when the bulk of them begin their implementation and subsequent enforcement.
