South Texas musician lands Oscar nomination for Best Original Song

A South Texas musician has received a ton of buzz for his work for years, and now he’s an Oscar nominee.

Adrian Quesada, a Laredo native and current Austin resident, received an Academy Award nomination on Thursday, January 23 , in the original song category for co-writing “Like a Bird” with Abraham Alexander for the drama, “Sing Sing.”
