FAA lifts temporary ground stop for flights to Austin from Houston, Dallas regions

AUSTIN, Texas — The Federal Aviation Administration lifted a temporary ground stop for flights arriving at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport from Houston and Dallas Fort-Worth airspaces. It was reportedly put in place Friday morning due to staffing constraints.

“The FAA that the ground stop has been lifted, but we expect it to take a couple of hours or so for flight schedules into AUS from airports in the affected air space to get back on schedule,” airport officials said.
