Texas bill proposed to facilitate the suspension of homeless students

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) – A proposed Texas bill may facilitate the suspension of students identified as homeless, raising concerns throughout the state.

The 89th legislative session is currently underway in Austin. One proposed law, House Bill 6 (HB-6), by Texas State Representative Jeff Leach from Plano, aims to expand school districts’ power to discipline homeless students.
