AUSTIN, Texas — The city of Austin is taking additional measures to try and protect people from extreme heat.
The city’s Office of Climate Action and Resilience and Homeless Strategy Office were given a $70,000 grant to partner with community-based organizations over the next year to implement solutions designed to help vulnerable people as temperatures begin to increase.
