Man arrested after five-hour standoff at SE Austin apartment complex

AUSTIN, Texas — A man was arrested Wednesday after a nearly five-hour standoff with police at an apartment complex in southeast Austin.

The suspect, described as a Hispanic male in his 40s, was taken into custody shortly before 8:15 a.m. after barricading himself inside an apartment at the Villas at Cordoba complex in the 5300 block of Jimmy Clay Drive, according to Austin police.
