The last thing many Texans want is more people moving to the Lone Star State, but they might have more incentive after the latest roundup of the state’s premier neighborhoods to live in.
Review website Niche.com unveiled its 2025 rankings of the best neighborhoods to live in Texas this year, and one Austin dwelling inched its way to second place. The Triangle State neighborhood — located between 38th and 51st streets and North Lamar Boulevard and Guadalupe Street in North Austin — was crowned second best in Texas, falling only behind Houston’s Cinco Ranch neighborhood.
Sandwiched between the Rosedale and Hyde Park neighborhoods and only a few miles from downtown, Niche deemed it Austin’s best due to its public schools, nightlife scene and family-friendly environment.
