Austin, Texas To Lose Museum Of Ice Cream After Closure

The city of Austin, Texas has many attractions for one to see when visiting. But not all can be visited by one during their stay. Sadly, one place might wish to see will no longer be available to visit soon.

What Business Is Closing In Austin, Texas?

The place we’re talking about is none other than the Museum of Ice Cream. Opened back in 2021, it stood as the only location of the business in the Lone Star State. But, now, it is unknown what will happen after it’s closing date of July 20th, 2025, according to MySA.

But what was the reason for Museum closing for good? As revealed by The Austin Business Journal, the lease for the building was not renewed, despite the fact that the Museum of Ice Cream wished to continue staying there. MySA did contact the Domain, where the museum is, but they haven’t responded at time of writing.

Is There Any Chance The Museum Could Come Back?

While it is sad that the museum is closing, there are possibilities for it to return to the Lone Star State. As stated by a spokesperson for the museum, they are “actively exploring opportunities for new permanent locations in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston.” So, at the time of writing, it will be a while before the future of the Museum of Ice Cream is known.

As this is a developing story, we will have more information when it becomes available.
